Dilly Cheese Bread

  • 3 c. buttermilk biscuit mix
  • 1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. dill weed (dill seed may be substituted)
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard

    Combine biscuit mix, cheese and sugar

    Combine remaining ingredients.

    Add to cheese mixture, stirring until blended.

    Beat slightly to remove lumps.

    Turn into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes, or until done. Serve warm.
