- 1 c. raw onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 c. sliced raw potatoes
- 1 c. chopped celery
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 4 slices American cheese
- margarine
Directions

1Brown ground beef.

2Pour off excess fat.

3Place alternate layers of ground beef and fresh vegetables in a greased casserole dish in the order listed.

4Add salt and pepper as needed.

5Pour canned tomatoes over all.

6Top with cheese slices; dot with margarine.

7Cover casserole; bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350°, or until vegetables are done.
