- 2 yeast cakes or 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. warm milk
- 6 to 8 c. flour
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1In a separate bowl combine yeast and warm water.

2Now in a large bowl place sugar, salt and warm milk.

3Stir in yeast and water mixture.

4Mix in shortening and eggs.

5Sift in 2 cups of flour and keep adding until a ball is formed and you can easily knead the dough with hands.

6Cover with towel and let rise until double in size, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours).

7Punch down dough when doubled in size; break off in roll size pieces and let rise again on a greased baking sheet.

8Bake in a 350° oven until brown.
