Ingredients
- 6 c. flour
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 c. cold water
- 2 cakes yeast
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3/4 c. shortening
Directions

1Combine shortening, salt and sugar in bowl.

2Add hot water. Cool to lukewarm.

3In cold water, dissolve yeast cakes and add to mixture.

4Add eggs (well beaten), then 3 cups flour and mix well. Mix remaining flour.

5Stir thoroughly, but do not knead.

6Cover and put in refrigerator until ready to use.

7When you remove from refrigerator to use, should be double in bulk.

8Mash down with a little flour.

9Make out rolls.
-
10Let rise for 2 hours.

11Cook 15 to 20 minutes in 350° oven.

12Brush tops with butter.
-
13Dough will keep, covered, several days in refrigerator.
