  • 2 cups cubed cooked ham
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 28 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 16 ounces kidney beans
  • 15 ounces black beans
  • 15 ounces pinto beans
  • 8 ounces picante sauce
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 12 cup water
  • 2 14 ounces sliced black olives
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper

Directions

    In a large saucepan, cook the ham, onions and garlic in oil until tender.

    Stire in tomatoes, beans, picante sauce, tomato sauce and water (if desired).

    Bring to a boil.

    Stir in olives, bouillon, thyme, salt and pepper.

    Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 15-20 minutes.

    Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
