- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1Stir sugar, corn syrup and water over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

2Cook, without stirring, until mixture forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.

3In mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.

4Keep beating while pouring hot syrup in a small stream into egg whites.

5Add vanilla; beat until mixture holds its shape and becomes slightly dull.

6Fold nuts in.

7Drop mixture from tip of buttered spoon onto waxed paper.
