- 3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. white Karo syrup
- 2/3 c. cold water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts (if desired)
Directions

1Cook sugar, syrup and water to soft ball stage, 238°.

2Pour very slowly over the egg whites which have been beaten until stand up in peaks.

3Continue beating until hard enough to drop from a spoon (it will lose its glossy look).

4Add vanilla, right after, start beating and nuts after beating, just before dropping from spoon.
