- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 2 egg whites
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. candied cherries
Directions

1Combine sugar, water and syrup into 3-quart glass casserole. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

2Cook with microwave 5 minutes. Stir and cook about 5 to 6 minutes longer or until a hard ball is formed when tested in cold water.

3While mixture is cooking, beat egg whites stiff.

4When syrup is ready, pour it over the egg whites slowly, beating constantly with a wooden spoon.

5Beat until creamy, about 15 to 20 minutes.

6Add nuts, cherries and vanilla. Pour into a buttered pan.
