Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 large or 3 small egg whites
  • 3/4 c. nuts

Directions

    Beat egg whites real stiff.

    Cook sugar, syrup and water to medium soft ball.

    Pour 1/2 syrup over beaten egg whites.

    Continue beating.

    Cook remaining syrup to hard crack stage, then pour over candy and continue beating until it starts to get real thick.

    Take beater out and beat with spoon.

    Add nuts and vanilla.

    Beat until stands up.

    Put out on greased paper by spoonfuls.
