Ingredients

  • 4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/2 lb. pecans

Directions

    Cook sugar, syrup, water, vinegar and salt to 262° or very firm ball stage.

    Beat slowly into well beaten egg whites.

    Add nuts and vanilla when mixture begins to thicken.

    Drop by spoonfuls on heavy waxed paper.

    Store in an airtight container.
