  • 1 pt. chopped cabbage
  • 1 pt. sweet red peppers
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. celery seed, crushed
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1 pt. white onions
  • 1 pt. sweet green peppers
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 3 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Soak peppers 24 hours in 1 cup salt and 1 gallon of water. Freshen in fresh water for 1 or 2 hours.

    Drain and chop each separate (then measure).

    Mix all together.

    Add seasonings and let stand in a crock overnight.

    Drain off vinegar.

    Remove bubbles, seal and process.
