  • 3 tablespoons shea butter
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa butter
  • 3 tablespoons baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot or 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 vitamin E gel caps
  • 10 -20 drops essential oils

Directions

    In a double boiler (or a glass measuring cup in a a pot of simmering water), melt the shea butter and cocoa butter.

    Add the baking soda and arrowroot or cornstarch.

    Puncture the vitamin E gel caps and squeeze the oil into the mixture.

    Give it a good stir.

    When liquefied, remove from the heat and pour into a 1/4 pint jar.

    Stir in the essential oils.

    Place in fridge for at least a few hours until solid.

    Take it out and let it come to room temperature.

    Do not store in fridge (vitamin E is a natural preservative).

    The texture should be between a firm cream and a soft solid.

    To use, scoop out a pea-size amount with your fingers and apply to your armpit.

    A slightly wet armpit makes it easier to spread.
