  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. cocoa
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs (unbeaten)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Add flour, sugar, Crisco, salt, cocoa and 3/4 cup milk together and beat vigorously by hand or mixer (medium speed) for 2 minutes.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Blend well.

    Grease and flour two or three round cake pans.

    Bake for 30 minutes in preheated 350° oven.
