  • 1/2 c. unbleached flour
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 c. grated carrots

    Most of our horses will not eat any type of medication in their feed.

    So whenever necessary, I mix the pills, powdered, with a small amount of King or Karo syrup.

    A large wormer syringe, washed thoroughly, will easily draw up and dispense the sticky preparation.

    In extremely cold weather, I sometimes warm the syrup or add a bit of warm water.
