Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. unbleached flour
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. rye flour
- 1 c. bulgur
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/4 c. instant nonfat dry milk powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 envelope active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 egg, slightly beaten with 1 tsp. milk
Directions

1Turn oven to 300°.

2Mix the first 3 ingredients with a wooden spoon in a large bowl.

3Heat chicken broth to lukewarm; add to flour mixture.

4Stir until dough forms.

5Roll out dough until it is 1/4-inch thick.

6Using a large dog biscuit for model, cut out bone shapes from dough.

7Place on greased cookie sheets.

8Brush dough with egg glaze.

9Bake bones for 45 minutes.

10Turn oven off. Biscuits should remain in oven overnight to harden.

11Makes 50 (3 x 1-inch) bones.
