Ingredients

  • 1 c. hot water
  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 7 to 7 1/2 c. flour (self-rising)

Directions

    Mix 1 cup hot water with butter, sugar and eggs.

    Add 1 cup cold water.

    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water; add to butter and sugar mixture.

    Add flour and cover; let rise at least 2 hours.

    Punch down, knead and roll out like biscuits. Put in greased

    pans and let rise another 1 to 2 hours. Bake at 425°

    for 12 to 15 minutes.
