Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. ruffled egg noodles
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook noodles; rinse and drain several times with hot water and set aside.

    Gradually beat sour cream into cream cheese; stir in onion and garlic.

    Brown beef lightly.

    Stir in tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste.

    Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Layer 1/2 noodles, 1/2 sour cream mixture and 1/2 beef mixture.

    Repeat layers in same order.

    Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.

    May be covered with plastic wrap and stored in refrigerator overnight and baked the next day.
