  • 2 rolls refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2/3 c. margarine/butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

    Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

    Add nuts and mix well.

    Melt the margarine in a large bowl in the microwave (or on top of stove); add sugar.

    Cool slightly and add beaten eggs and vanilla.

    To the margarine and sugar mixture, add flour mix a small amount at a time, stirring well after each addition.

    Turn dough out into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle chocolate pieces over top and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

    (Do not overbake.)

    Cool in pan and cut into bars. Makes approximately 4 dozen.
