Double Chocolate Dips

Ingredients
- 2 sq. (2 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 5 sq. (5 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1In a heavy small saucepan heat 2 squares chocolate over low heat until melted, stirring constantly.

2Remove from heat and cool. In a large mixer bowl beat butter or margarine until softened. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

3Add milk, vanilla and cooled, melted chocolate. Beat well.

4Add flour and beat until well mixed.

5Using about 1 tablespoon of dough for each cookie shape into a 2 x 1/2-inch log.

6Curve slightly to form a crescent shape. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

7Bake in a 325° oven about 18 minutes or until done.

8Remove and cool.
