- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 2/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 2/3 c. pecans, broken
- 48 pecan halves (for garnish)
Directions

1Combine and mix the first 5 ingredients. Add water and blend well. Fold in 2/3 cup chocolate morsels and 2/3 cup pecans. Cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours.

2Form into 1-inch balls.

3Place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheet and lightly flatten by crisscrossing with damp fork.

4Bake in preheated 375° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

5Cool to room temperature. Yields 4 dozen.

6After cookies are baked and well cooled, top with pecan half, if desired.
