- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. crushed corn flakes
- 1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c. coconut
Directions

1Mix flour, salt and baking soda; set aside.

2Combine shortening and sugars.

3Beat until creamy.

4Blend in eggs and vanilla.

5Stir in flour mixture and add other ingredients. Reserve 1/3 dough.

6Shape remaining dough into balls using teaspoon.

7Place on cookie sheet.

8Flatten with glass bottom dipped in flour.

9Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.

10Shape remaining dough into balls, using 1/2 amount for each ball as first time.

11Flatten and bake as before.

12Cool on wax paper.
