  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. softened butter
  • 1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice, divided
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. grated orange peel

Directions

    In a large bowl cream sugar and butter until fluffy.

    Add sour cream and eggs.

    Beat until well blended.

    Remove 1 tablespoon orange juice.

    Add remaining juice and dry ingredients to creamed mixture; mix well.

    Stir in orange peel.

    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350° for about 9 to 10 minutes or until edges just begin to brown; cool. Ice with an orange frosting.
