- 1 c. warm milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 egg
Directions

1In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk.

2Stir in sugar, half the flour and the salt.

3Beat until smooth.

4Add egg and shortening.

5Beat in the rest of the flour until smooth.

6Cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until dough is double in size.

7Grease 12 large muffin cups.

8Stir down the dough.

9Spoon dough into muffin cups, filling them half full. Allow to rise for 30 minutes.

10Bake for 15 minutes at 400°.
