- 3 3/4 c. flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream the butter; add sugar gradually and cream until light. Stir in beaten eggs.

2Add flour, baking powder and salt to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.

3Stir in vanilla. Chill the dough for several hours.

4Roll out 1/3-inch thick on a floured surface.

5Cut with a floured cutter.

6Fry in deep fat (375°) until golden brown.

7Turn.

8Drain on a paper towel.

9Cover with cinnamon or powdered sugar.
