  • 14 to 16 doves
  • salt and pepper
  • flour
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1/2 c. chopped green onions
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • sherry
  • 1/4 c. chopped parsley

Directions

    Season doves with salt and pepper, roll in flour.

    Place in oil in heavy roaster.

    Bake at 300° until brown.

    Add onions, water and 1 cup sherry.

    Bake, covered, until tender, basting with sherry occasionally.

    Add parsley to gravy just before serving.
