  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 10 to 12 slices bread, dried overnight
  • sage to taste
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

    Bring celery and chicken broth to a boil and cook until celery is partly tender. Tear bread into cubes and pour celery and onion mixture over bread.

    Add sage, salt, pepper and butter to mixture. Pour mixture into buttered baking pan. Bake at 350° until brown around the edges.
