Ingredients

  • 2 cups Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • 2 cups Dried Figs
  • 2 ounces, weight Soft Goat Cheese
  • 2 ounces, weight Grated Asiago Cheese
  • 1/4 cups Raw Walnut Halves

Directions

  1. 1
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the balsamic vinaigrette.
  2. 2
When it begins to boil, reduce the heat and simmer.
  3. 3
The 2 cups of balsamic will reduce down to a thick syrup.
  4. 4
Remove the bottoms of the dried figs with a paring knife.
  5. 5
Use the tip of the paring knife to remove some of the fig seeds.
  6. 6
Place a walnut half in the opening of the dried fig.
  7. 7
Push it in but make sure to not break through the top.
  8. 8
In a small bowl, mix the goat cheese and asiago cheese.
  9. 9
Plug the dried fig with the cheese mixture.
  10. 10
Place the stuffed figs on a plate and gently pour the reduced balsamic vinaigrette over the figs.
  11. 11
Another way of eating these is using the reduced balsamic vinaigrette as a dipping sauce and dipping the figs into the dark, sweet, syrupy nectar!
