  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sour cream or evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs; stir in sour cream and vanilla.

    Blend flour, soda and salt.

    Stir in.

    Add nuts if you want to.

    Chill dough if soft.

    Drop by tablespoons on greased pan. Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes.
