- 6 Thick pork chops bone in or boneless
- 1 salt and pepper to taste
- 1 12 oz bottle of beer the darker the better
- 1 onion diced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 1 bay leaf
Directions

1Put a little cooking oil in the bottom of a skillet.

2Season pork chops with salt and pepper.

3Cook pork chops till brown on both sides.

4Remove pork chops from skillet.

5Add diced onion to skillet and cook till translucent.

6Add flour and stir for about 1 minute.

7Meanwhile combine beer, ketchup, thyme, and brown sugar in a bowl.

8Put pork chops back in skillet with onions and pour sauce mixture in and add bay leaf.

9Simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes till sauce thickens.

10Flip pork chops once while cooking.
