- 4 Tbsp. (1/4 stick) butter
- 2 Tbsp. chopped garlic
- 3 lb. potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
- 1/2 c. grated Swiss
- 1/2 c. Monterey Jack, grated
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- paprika
Directions

1Melt butter and smear butter on sides and bottom of 13 x 9-inch casserole dish.

2Spread garlic evenly on bottom only.

3Lay potato slices flat on bottom of pan.

4Mix eggs and milk and pour over potato slices.

5Mix grated cheeses together and sprinkle evenly over potatoes.

6Sprinkle some paprika over top.

7Cover with foil or casserole lid and bake for 50 minutes at 425°.

8Uncover and brown tops of potatoes.

9Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
