  • 1 (1 lb. 6 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks margarine, melted
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut (optional)
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Spoon cherry pie filling evenly in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Spread pineapple over cherry pie filling.

    Sprinkle dry cake mix over pineapple.

    Pour melted margarine evenly over all. Sprinkle with coconut and pecans.

    Bake at 325° about 1 hour. Yields one (13 x 9 x 2-inch) cake.
