  • 1 c. cherry or apple pie filling
  • 1 (1 lb.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 c. butter

Directions

    Pour pie cherries and juice in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Drain off about half the syrup from pineapple.

    Pour remaining juice and pineapple over cherries.

    Sprinkle dry cake mix over fruit.

    Evenly sprinkle with butter chunks; top with walnuts. Bake 45 minutes at 375°.

    Serve hot with ice cream or whipping cream.
