  • 1 can applesauce
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • Cool Whip or whipped cream

    Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Dump applesauce into it.

    Dump pineapple on top of that.

    Spread cake mix (dry) over that.

    Melt margarine and pour on top of the cake mix.

    Sprinkle nuts over the butter.

    Do not stir.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Top with Cool Whip or cream.
