  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. hot beef or chicken broth
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

    Mix well with fork.

    Stir in 1 beaten egg into flour.

    As soon as the dough becomes difficult to stir with fork, work with your fingers until smooth and is medium stiff dough.

    Add flour as needed.

    Knead dough a few minutes on floured surface.

    Divide dough into 4 or 5 parts.

    Roll thin and cut 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide.

    Then cut the strips the other way to make about a 1 1/2 to 2-inch square.

    Drop into boiling broth and cook 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
