Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/4 c. salad oil
  • 1 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 doz. franks (small slender ones are best)

Directions

    Saute onions in oil.

    Add remaining ingredients (except hot dogs).

    Simmer 15 minutes.

    Cut hot dogs into 1-inch pieces.

    Add hot dogs to sauce.

    Simmer for 20 minutes.

    Use toothpicks for dunking.
