Ingredients

  • 4 c. apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs (mix with fork)
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. raisins

    Pour sugar over apples and let stand 1/2 hour.

    Sift all dry ingredients, then sift again into apple bowl.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.

    Spread in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake in 350° preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. May be served with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
