- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. rice, uncooked
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. parsley, minced
- 6 cabbage leaves
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Combine and mix well the meat, salt, pepper, rice and egg. Wash cabbage leaves and boil until tender.

2Put equal amounts of meat mixture into cabbage leaves, roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.

3Place rolls in saucepan.
