  • 2 c. flour (whole wheat)
  • 1 c. flour (unbleached white)
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Mix all ingredients with hands in a big bowl.

    Pat into cookie pan 1/4-inch thick and brush with water.

    Sprinkle with chopped nuts and press into dough.

    Bake for 20 minutes until nuts are brown.

    Cut while warm and cool 10 minutes.

    Then remove with spatula.
