- 1 c. quick oats
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water on oats.

2Let cool.

3Cream brown sugar, sugar, shortening and eggs.

4Add flour, soda, cinnamon and salt.

5Add oatmeal mixture.

6Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.

7Spoon Dutch Oatmeal Frosting over cake.

8Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
