  • 8 slices bread (Pepperidge Farm)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. milk (part half and half if wanted)
  • 1/2 stick melted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 4 oz. pkg. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Remove crust and cube bread.

    In a bowl, combine eggs, which have been beaten in a blender, with milk, butter, salt and pepper. Grease one-quart casserole.

    Alternate layers of bread, eggs and cheese with last layer being cheese.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Bake one hour, uncovered, in oven heated to 325°.
