Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 2 pkg. lemon instant pudding
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 well beaten eggs
- 8 1/2 - 9 c. flour
- 1/2 - 2 cups raisins
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Blend together scalded milk, pudding mix, margarine, salt and sugar.

3Add 2 cups flour and mix well.

4Add yeast and beaten eggs.

5Add remaining flour to make a soft dough.

6Turn out on lightly floured surface.

7Cover and let rest 10 minutes.

8Knead until smooth and elastic.

9Place in a lightly greased bowl and let rise until until double.

10Turn on floured board and divide dough in 4 parts.

11Divide each part into 3 parts and braid.

12Place loaves on greased cookie sheets - two loaves on one sheet.

13Makes 4 loaves.

14Cover and let rise about 1 hour.

15Brush each loaf with mixture of 1 beaten egg and 1 tbsp. water.

16Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes.
