- 6 to 8 c. flour
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 cake yeast (large)
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 pt. sour cream (1 c.)
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 3/4 cup lukewarm milk with 1 tablespoon sugar.

2Set aside.

3Cream butter, sugar and egg yolks and a little flour.

4(I use my mixer as long as I can.)

5Add rest of ingredients, including yeast and enough lukewarm milk to make a soft dough.

6Work until it does not stick to hands or bowl.

7Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk (does not rise a lot).

8Take pieces and make long skinny rolls, then braid them. (In twos or threes.)
