  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • Grated peel of 2 lemons
  • 2 Packages dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 2 Large eggs, room temperature
  • 4 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Tiny colored candies
