  • 1 can cherry or other fruit pie filling
  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/8 to 1/4 lb. butter

    Place pie filling in an 8 x 8-inch baking dish.

    Sprinkle cake mix on top of filling.

    Spread nuts on next.

    Sprinkle brown sugar on top.

    Dot with butter.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake tests done.

    Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
