- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 (1 lb.) can red sour pitted cherries
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1In 9-inch square pan, melt butter or margarine.

2In bowl, combine next 4 ingredients.

3Mix until well blended.

4Pour over melted butter; do not stir.

5Pour undrained cherries over batter; do not stir.

6Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over cherries; do not stir. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

7(May use other canned fruits in their own natural juices.)
