Easy Chicken Pie

  • 2 to 2 1/2 lb. fryer
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. milk

    Boil chicken, seasoning chicken with salt and pepper to taste. When done, remove skin and bone.

    Place chicken in greased 10 x 6 x 1 3/4-inch Pyrex dish.

    Mix can of cream of celery soup and the chicken broth (1 1/4 cups).

    Heat soup-broth mixture and add salt and pepper to taste.

    Pour over chicken.

    Melt margarine and mix with flour, salt and baking powder.

    Add milk and spoon evenly over chicken.

    Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes.
