- 1 pkg. frozen hash browns
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 cans minced clams (with juice)
- water (to cover)
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 to 4 slices bacon, crisped and crumbled
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Put hash browns, butter and clams in 6-quart kettle.

2Add water to cover and bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.

4Add milk and garlic powder. Simmer 10 more minutes, stirring often.

5Add bacon, salt and pepper. Stir.

6Serve with crusty bread.
