Easy Corn Bread Dressing

  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. margarine or butter
  • 6 c. cornbread, crumbled *
  • 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sage
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute celery and onion in butter until tender.

    Add to rest of ingredients and toss lightly until bread is thoroughly moistened. Put in 8-inch square pan.

    Bake in preheated 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until heated thoroughly.
