- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, cold and cut into pieces
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. water
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt; mix well.

2In saucepan, heat 1 cup water, milk and 1/4 cup butter until about 120° to 130° (butter doesn't need to melt). Add to flour mixture. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

3Set aside.
