Easy Deep Fried Chicken

  • 12 Chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Season salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder

Directions

    Mix seasoned flour in a large ziploc bag.

    Pat chicken as dry as possible and place 2 at a time into the seasoned flour.

    Seal the bag and shake vigorously.

    Tap exercise flour off chicken and place on a wire rack over a baking tray.

    When all the chicken is coated with seasoned flour place in the refrigerator uncovered for 1 hour.

    Preheat deep fryer to 350F.

    Cook 4 pieces of chicken at a time for 15 to 17 minutes.

    Cook until the chicken is floating and golden brown.

    Serve with mashed potatoes and milk gravy, green beans and homemade biscuits.

    This recipe makes great cold fried chicken for a picnic.

    Let chicken cool on the counter for 1 hour.
